This post and picture has been sent via satellite from the bad lands just north of Glasgow city centre! OK nothing new about that, but Pete has cobbled together a system which should allow blog updates and pictures to be directly published to the Annapurna blog using minimum bandwidth.
Providing we can get a signal, we will be updating the blog with all the banter from Base Camp and beyond.
What a GEEK!!
ReplyDeleteHow about making a machine to clear all of the dust out of the air and flying on time instead of leaving you're poor suffering climbing partners waiting in Kathmandu!
Nick.
Delighted to see you have someone intelligent on board.

Maybe if the 3 of you stand in a line with your crampons wired up between the car battery and the satellite phone you will all get tele-transported directly to the start of the upper ridge. A long shot, I agree, but still more plausible than a geriatric and a couple of blonds actually climbing up there.

Brilliant, love the comment above... maybe if you are the actual captain kirk you can transport us up because at the moment getting in with the whole team looks a little bit doubtful...
